Recognising outstanding leadership in healthcare and celebrating the women who inspire us at Medguard.
This International Women’s Day, Medguard is proud to celebrate the women who inspire us every day through leadership, dedication and impact across healthcare.
We are delighted to share that Lisa Mullaney, General Manager of Medguard Healthcare, has been shortlisted for the Sales & Commercial Leadership category at the Women in Pharma Awards 2026, a recognition that reflects her outstanding contribution to the Irish healthcare sector.
Lisa has been instrumental in shaping Medguard’s journey over the past 16 years. Since joining the company shortly after its founding in 2009, she has helped transform Medguard from a three-person start-up into one of Ireland’s most trusted healthcare supply partners, now serving hospitals, community care providers, GP practices and specialist clinical services across the country.
Under Lisa’s leadership, Medguard has expanded significantly, growing its offering to more than 10,000 healthcare products, including 250+ own-brand lines, while developing strong partnerships with healthcare providers nationwide.
Her approach to commercial leadership has always been rooted in one core principle: putting patients and healthcare professionals first. By championing a responsive, transparent and reliable service model, Lisa has helped establish Medguard as a trusted partner to healthcare providers who rely on consistent supply, clinical integrity and operational excellence.
This leadership was particularly evident during the company’s recent growth phase, which culminated in Medguard becoming part of Mediq in 2025. The partnership strengthens Medguard’s ability to deliver innovation, scale and expanded healthcare solutions to Irish providers and their patients.
Beyond business success, Lisa is known internally for her people-first leadership style, supporting colleagues, mentoring teams and fostering a culture where collaboration, learning and shared purpose drive the organisation forward.
Her impact is reflected not only in Medguard’s growth but also in the long-standing relationships she has built with healthcare partners, many of whom have worked with the company for over a decade.
As we mark International Women’s Day 2026, Lisa’s recognition at the Women in Pharma Awards highlights the vital role women play in shaping the future of healthcare, leadership and innovation.
At Medguard, we are proud to celebrate the women who inspire us, today and every day.
Congratulations Lisa on this well-deserved recognition.
