Lisa Mullaney Honoured at Women in Pharma Awards for Outstanding Leadership in Healthcare
Medguard Healthcare is proud to announce that General Manager Lisa Mullaney was honoured last night at the Women in Pharma Awards, recognising her exceptional contribution to Sales & Commercial Leadership within the healthcare sector.
This prestigious recognition reflects more than a decade and a half of impact, during which Lisa has helped shape not only the trajectory of Medguard, but also the standards of service, reliability and trust within the Irish healthcare supply chain.
Joining Medguard shortly after its founding in 2009, Lisa played a central role in building the company from a three-person start-up into one of Ireland’s most trusted and comprehensive healthcare solution providers. Today, Medguard supports acute hospitals, the HSE, private healthcare providers, community services and specialist clinical settings nationwide, delivering over 10,000 products and maintaining long-standing partnerships that span more than 15 years.
At the heart of this growth is Lisa’s belief that commercial success in healthcare must always be grounded in patient impact. She has consistently championed a customer-first approach, embedding responsiveness, transparency and trust into Medguard’s commercial model, a strategy that has become a defining differentiator in the market.
Her leadership has also driven operational excellence at scale. From achieving industry-leading delivery accuracy and logistics performance, to embedding regulatory and governance standards as a commercial strength, Lisa has ensured that Medguard delivers not only on efficiency, but on reliability when it matters most to frontline care.
A defining milestone in Lisa’s career, and for Medguard, came with the company’s acquisition by European healthcare leader Mediq in 2025. Lisa played a pivotal role in positioning Medguard as a scalable, high-integrity organisation, while ensuring continuity for customers, partners and employees throughout the transition. This strategic move has opened new opportunities to expand access to advanced healthcare products and innovation, strengthening the future of healthcare delivery in Ireland.
Beyond strategy and performance, Lisa is widely recognised for her people-first leadership style. She has fostered a culture where accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement thrive, while remaining deeply committed to mentoring and developing her team. Her accessibility, authenticity and ability to connect purpose with performance have made her a respected leader both within Medguard and across the wider industry.
Her impact is perhaps best reflected in the relationships she has built, with colleagues, customers and partners alike, and in the consistent feedback that highlights her integrity, reliability and solutions-focused mindset, particularly during challenging periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
This award is a testament to Lisa’s unwavering commitment to excellence and her belief that strong commercial leadership can and should strengthen healthcare systems. Through her work, she has demonstrated that growth, governance and empathy are not competing priorities, but essential components of meaningful and sustainable success.
Everyone at Medguard extends their sincere congratulations to Lisa on this well-deserved achievement, a recognition of her leadership, her vision, and the lasting impact she continues to make across the healthcare sector.
